For eating and drinking

On arrival you will find breakfast provisions for your first morning. If you have any special requests for this, please let us know.

All our kitchens are fully equipped for your self-catering holiday. They contain:

  • Gas oven and four hobs

  • Microwave

  • Refrigerator and freezer

  • Double sink

  • Storage

  • Cutlery, crockery, glassware

  • Kettle

  • Toaster

  • Pots and pans

  • Complimentary tea, coffee and condiments for your arrival

All apartments also have access to their own barbecue facilities.

For your activities and entertainment

We strongly recommend that you arrange a car hire for your stay (we are happy to help you with this), although there is a local bus service, running clockwise and anti-clockwise around the island.

We have several sets of snorkelling gear and fins which you may use at your leisure.

Beach towels are provided.

The large swimming pool is available for the use of all guests.

For rainy days or evenings in, we have a library of DVDs, books and board games.

The property and apartments have access to free wifi for guests. Combined with Smart TV’s you will have access to any streaming services you can’t live without.

We will also provide you with a Cook Islands pre-paid mobile phone (it will have around $10.00 credit, and you can top this up at any Vodafone outlet).

Other facilities

All of our apartments also contain the following:

  • Bed linen- This is changed every seven days, or we can provide clean linen upon request.

  • Towels - we can provide fresh bath and beach towels upon request.

  • Toiletries and cleaning products to get you started

  • Safe for storing your valuables, passports etc.

  • Ceiling fans

  • Insect screens on windows

Pool view guests can also use our shared washing machine and clothes line for your laundry.

Air conditioning is available, at an extra cost of $20 per night per aircon unit, in both bedrooms of each apartment.

Your hosts, Brent and Eve, will be on-site every day to maintain the property and can also be reached at any time by phone.

BOOKING INFORMATION ("THE SMALL PRINT")

We have a 3 night minimum stay in our apartments.

We require details of your valid credit card and a deposit to confirm your reservation. We can charge a debit card, Visa or Master credit cards or you can deposit in to a Cook Islands or New Zealand based bank account.  We will provide instructions in a reservation email. The deposit equivalent of 30% of the total is required after a 24 hours grace period of making the booking. The remaining balance will be charged 30 days prior to your arrival. On request we can provide a hard or soft copy receipt.

Rates quoted on this website are in New Zealand Dollars (NZD).

Children of all ages are welcome. In advance of your arrival, please let us know the ages of your children and we will endeavour to provide you with any necessary extra amenities you require.

Check in to our apartments is at 2 pm, and check out is at 10 am. An early check in (after 9.00 am) or late check out (until 6.00 pm) may be available (at a cost) on request, however this must be confirmed one month prior to arrival. Please note that any arrival to our apartments scheduled before 11.00 am is considered to be a first night, with the second night commencing at 2 pm. Any check out after 6.00 pm will require booking another night. We do not have any day room facilities for early arrivals or late departures.

Airport transfers can be arranged, these are $25 pp each way, payable in cash directly to the driver.  For these, the driver will have your name and will meet you in the arrival hall. Please let the 'greeter' know that you are staying at the White House Apartments.  We can also facilitate a car rental for you, please advise us if you would like this done and provide a personal email address so that we can copy you into the car rental company.  We highly recommend that these are booked in advance as cars can and do sell out on the Island in busy periods.

Our cancellation policy applies to all bookings and is as follows:

  • All amendments and cancellations must be emailed to us.

  • Cancellations or changes made up to 31 days before date of arrival incur a 30% cancellation fee.

  • For any cancellations made within 31 days, or in case of a no-show, the total price of the reservation will be charged.

    We highly recommend our guests take out travel insurance in case unforeseen circumstances prevent you from travelling.
